Mike Bailey, Musician – Florida Keys

Mike Bailey is a Musician in The Florida Keys.
Mike grew up in Southeast Pa & the Jersey Shore. When the Beatles hit the Ed Sullivan Show in ‘ 64 he was 10. It was “goodbye piano lessons, can I please get a guitar”. And what interested him most wasn’t learning scales and Mel Bay chords but writing his own melodies.

Having decent success at an early age with a local band playing Byrd’s, electric Dylan and Eagles, Mike moved to California to give songwriting a go. Many years and many careers later he moved to the Florida Keys.

Mike’s repertoire includes everything from The Cure to Jackson Browne , with stops along the Dylan / Petty Hiway. Depending on the crowd his original material will make up 20-50% of his set. He is currently at Boondocks with Terry Cassidy on Mondays and the Courtyard in Marathon on Fridays.

Mike wrote and performed “7 Miles in to the Sun”, the opening song to the movie “Beating the Bus”
