Lobster Trap Gift Shop & Art Gallery – Islamorada, Florida Keys

At the entrance to the shop are hand painted signs produced by our creative staff: Heidi, Angie, Glenn, and Jeremy. We even paint custom signs! Stroll through the gallery while enjoying the tunes of “The Barefoot Man”. You can even purchase his CDs to take home with you. As you roam through the shop, the staff – which are the friendliest in the Keys – will share their knowledge about the guest artists who are all local! No imports – how’s that for being unique!

Our guests include Key West artist Bob Hans who works with enamel and copper and also has beautiful fused glass pieces. Tony Scullin’s Key West photos on tile, canvas and paper are very popular. The detail work of 3-D artist Gary Farmer must be seen to be truly appreciated. His tiki bars of your favorite sports team are truly one of a kind pieces. Hand crafted jewelry can also be found. Our jewelers include Jackie (our own gallery manager), Jane, Dave Amrish, “Jay”, Tommy Rock, and Clay Tinney. Their collections include, but are not limited to, sea glass, turquoise, glass, and copper. Other works in the gallery include tile art by John Mojjis, sculptures by Nadine, 3-D wall art by our own Chris, and aluminum fish art by Eric Audit. Look for our locally made chocolate candy and tasty rum cakes as well.

Located in downtown Islamorada, the Lobster Trap Gift Shop and Art Gallery is a really unique and fun shop. We carry a wide assortment of items so there will be something to please everyone. First and foremost is our selection of “Keysey” paintings created by a local couple, Nadine and Glenn Lahti, framed in our own hand built, one of a kind, original lobster trap frames.
