The Jewelry Designs (or pattern) are usually my own, however some were inspired from the pattern of another designer. The design process is not unlike that of Artwork with color, shading, balance, and shape critical to the process. It is made using a technique called bead weaving where the beads are added in a pattern, many times adding row upon row until the design is complete. This creates a strong piece because often the thread has to pass through the beads many time to get the desired pattern. (In my work I make sure that every layer of beads has at least two passes of thread to make all the beads secure within the piece even if I have to essentially ‘repeat’ the pass on that row.)
