Monroe County School District
is an above average, public school district with offices in Key West. Student teacher ratio is 15 to 1. State test scores rate 57% of students are proficient in math and reading.

All ages are served from pre-K to grade 12, including adult education programs.

As of November 19, 2015 the school district employed 575 teachers and 476 staff to meet the needs of 8,477 students (includes charter schools).
